It’s time to welcome our stunning Alocasia Hilo Beauty. Her long, broadly heart-shaped leaves are very eye-catching due to the contrast to the variegated greens in a camouflaged pattern.
The plants grow 1 foot long and 10 inches wide and 2 to 4 feet tall.
Plant Size
Small: 3.5 – 4 inch standard nursery pot.
Light
She thrives best in bright, indirect light but will survive in shade. Avoid direct sunlight as it will burn her leaves.
Water
Always keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Alocasia plants require less water during the winter when it’s dormant. You can allow the topsoil to become slightly dry between each watering.
Plant Specific Care
She grows best in high humidity. To improve the humidity around a houseplant, place the plant on a tray filled with pebbles and water. Be sure the plant is sitting on the pebbles and not in the water. You can also increase the humidity by placing a small humidifier near her or grouping plants together.
