Since the advent of civilization, humans have lived in close proximity to nature. In fact, a new study suggests that we have an innate desire to be in contact with nature.
Today, most people live in urban or suburban environments, so we don’t always have the opportunity to enjoy natural spaces like forests, rivers and lakes. However, we can create the illusion of being surrounded by nature through biophilic design.
