Jasmine Sambac

Jasmine Sambac or Arabian Jasmine is an exotic species of Jasmine plant that produces highly fragrant flowers. Her scent can fill a room when she is in full bloom.

Jasmine is also used in teas. Only Jasmine Sambac is edible and all rest are not.

Plant Size

Small: 4 inch standard nursery pot

Medium: 5 – 6 inch standard nursery pot

Light

She thrives in warm temperatures and loves bright light, so you want to make sure she has plenty of it for at least 6 to 8 hours per day.

Water

Like other Jasmines, she grows readily in any moist, well-draining soil and requires adequate water during the summer growing season. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. If the soil gets too dry, the blooms can wilt and they may not recover.

Plant Specific Care

Remove the flowers as they fade. This keeps the plant looking tidy and may encourage more blooms. She may require repotting every two to three years so it doesn’t become root-bound. Provide climbing support such as a fence or trellis, and tie shoots to the support until well established.

Pet-Friendly Plant

Yes.
