Myrtle Topiary

If you are ready to take your greenery game up a notch, the Myrtle topiary is the indoor plant for you. Also known as Myrtus Communis, it is primarily grown indoors and is used to decorate homes. It has dense variegation and is supposed to be clipped into shapes, mainly like a ball, making it easy to accentuate every indoor decorating style.

Plant Size

Medium: 5 – 6 inch standard nursery pot

Light

Bright, indirect light. Ideally to be placed near a window. Direct sunlight with scorch their leaves.

Water

Water when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch. It is important to not let them dry out but they should not sit in water for hours.
Be diligent about the ones that are root bound, which require frequent watering (and re-potting eventually). 

Plant Specific Care

Fertilizer once a month during the growing seasons (March to early September)To maintain a tight spherical form, clip often during the growing season but do not shear or cut the leaves, snip at the branches/shoots instead.
