Peperomia Prostrata (String of Turtles)

String of Turtles (Peperomia Prostrata) is a tiny Brazilian succulent that is often used for fairy or container gardens due to its cute shape and attractive leaves. Not only do its leaves look like a turtle shell, but it’s as slow as a turtle when it comes to growth too! Often reaching its full size in 2 – 3 years.

Plant Size Guide

Extra Small: 2 – 2.5 inch standard nursery pot

Small: 3.5 – 4 inch standard nursery pot.

Medium: 5 -6 inch standard nursery pot.

Large: 7 – 8 inch standard nursery pot.

Light

String of turtles loves bright indirect light. Try not to keep these plants in full sun for too long or it will damage the leaves.

Water

Usually every 2 – 3 weeks once the soil has fully dried out. Use the ‘soak & dry’ method – completely soak the soil and water again only once the soil is fully dried out.

The plant tends to suffer from overwatering so using a drainage pot is recommended.
