Variegated Tree Ivy or Fatshedera Lizei is a unique cross between Fatsia Japonica (glossy-leaved paper plant) and Hedera helix (English ivy). The resulting hybrid has the shrub-like shape of a glossy-leaved paper plant, along with the five-lobed leaves of English ivy.
Its evergreen leaves are a glossy dark green and can stretch between 4 and 10 inches wide. While this plant is primarily grown for its foliage, tiny cream flowers do appear in clusters in the fall. Tree ivy has a moderate growth rate, and the best time to plant it is in the spring.
